"What will absorb you is Manoukian's singing line, gossamer finesse and passionate rhetorical flourishes. It's clear that she does, indeed, love Chopin, and that her accompanist Akira Eguchi does too... a remarkable disc."
- Lloyd Dykk, Vancouver Sun
The world-premiere recording of a new transcription of Chopin's Cello Sonata is the centrepiece of this outstanding recording from violinist Catherine Manoukian. The CD also features many of Chopin's most popular nocturnes and other short pieces. Catherine is accompanied on the piano by noted pianist Akira Eguchi. The transcription of the cello sonata is by Behzad Ranbaran, Professor of composition at the Juilliard School.
