The Toronto Children's Chorus is often called the finest chorus of treble voices in the world. Their international reputation has grown from their many recordings on Marquis, as well as their extensive touring around the world. Jean Ashworth Bartle, the Founder and Music Director has received many honours for her brilliant leadership of this famed ensemble.
This recording - the first of two live recordings to be released from their 1999 tour of Australia and New Zealand - features a wonderful collection of folk melodies and popular songs from around the world, all especially arranged for the Toronto Children's Chorus.
