World-renowned harpist Judy Loman has chosen a collection of Baroque pieces she originally learned to play on the piano.
Says Judy: "Salzedo used to say that one should never transcribe a work written for another instrument unless by doing so the work would be enhanced. I am not sure that I am that altruistic in my reasons for these transcriptions, because to be honest, I have transcribed them for the pure joy of being able to play them on what has become my main instrument. I do believe, though, that the quality and colors of the harp sound have added a special dimension to the music on this CD."
