Drawing from his many musical influences, Dmitry Kouzov effortlessly weaves through a variety of composers and styles, creating a beautiful mosaic of classic and contemporary music. Kouzov pays homage to the late Rostropovich in the humorous and challenging Humoresque Op. 5 and premieres Beara, an original work of contemporary American composer Sean Hickey. Pianist Peter Laul accompanies Kousov in performing favourites by Beethoven, Schumann and Shostakovich.
Dmitry Kouzov has collaborated with world renowned artists and is a member of the Phaedrus String Quartet. He is also a founding and active member of the Manhattan Piano Trio, with whom he tours extensively throughout the United States.
