Harp Sonatas by Rosetti and Dussek
Susann McDonald, Harp
Rössler is an important member of the group of Czech composers living in emigration in North Germany. He began composing in the early classical pre-Haydn style but gradually changed his methods of expression to those used by Haydn and Mozart.
Jan Ladislav Dussek came from a family of musicians. His mother was a talented harpist. The harp sonatas by Dussek were composed in the last decade of the eighteenth century.
